REFLEGGTION/S ๐Ÿฅ๐Ÿ’ก

Uhh, I really don’t know how I’ll start this post and I don’t even know what I’ll write in here but eh, here goes nothing. ยฏ_(ใƒ„)_/ยฏ

Media and Information Literacy (MIL), eh, at first, TO BE HONEST??? ‘cher if you’re reading this i’m sorry I thought it was an EASY?? subject โ”ฌโ”ดโ”ฌโ”ดโ”ค(๏ฝฅ_โ”œโ”ฌโ”ดโ”ฌโ”ด if you read the subject, I thought “Eh, this is probably one of those subjects that’s chill” or “we won’t probably do any hard or heavy activities here”.

I also thought that we’ll only talk about modern topics or problems that has something to do with internet/cyberspace/social media these three are probably the same but eh as well as the current or new technology/ies in our time and the evolution of technology, AAAAA TO MAKE IT SHORT I THOUGHT IT ONLY TACKLES ABOUT TECHNOLOGY AND THE INTERNET, DA S IT. (โ•ฏโ€ตโ–กโ€ฒ)โ•ฏ๏ธตโ”ดโ”€โ”ด

Anywaaays, I thought wrong. ( แ› )ูˆ

MIL is hard. โˆ ( แ› ใ€โˆ )๏ผฟ

Probably because I THOUGHT MEDIA = INTERNET/SOCIAL MEDIA. There’s other medias like Audio, Image, and stuff ‘cher don’t ask I can’t remember them ajdksadk and many other more that I’ve already forgotten. ๏พ(=๏ฟฃโˆ‡๏ฟฃ)๏พ‰ To summarize this part, media is not only the internet or cellphones.

Just by the subject itself, it allowed us to become more informed and be more literate about media/s and not be an ignorant person not only in real life but also on the internet. โ€.(*ยดโ—ก`*)โ€. Of course what the frigg you’re really supposed to learn bECAUSE YOU GO TO SCHOOL, SAMANTHA

Creating this blog and writing posts about certain topics were hard because, FIRST, I REALLY DON’T KNOW HOW TO WRITE ONE, I seldom search for and read blogs. If I were to read one, it’s either I’m really interested in reading that topic or post OR I was forced to do so.

Second, I’m not good at speaking nor writing in english??? I only learned it by watching tv shows and anime (since there are subs) but I can’t really speak or write formal english I don’t even know if that’s a thing although if you talk to me in english, it’s tolerable, ‘ya know, conversational english?? ใƒฝ๏ผˆใƒป๏ผฟใƒป๏ผ›)ใƒŽSo, it was hard for me to write posts in a semi-formal manner (I try as much as possible be informal so posts won’t come off as plain and boring).

Third, It’s REALLY hard to come up with creative and unique ideas on how to write posts, especially in writing a blog, you should attract the readers’ attention (lmao I’m sure no one reads this but I still try to be creative in creating posts! โ€ฆใ€†(ใƒปโˆ€ใƒป๏ผ )) ALSO, previewing my works, If one post is full of words, it’ll look.. boring so, here’s a picture of inosuke, my babey, from demon slayer +๏พŸ:๏ฝก*๏พŸ+ โ™ฅ (ยดโŒฃ`สƒฦช)

Although, writing blogs are fun! For me, at least.. ใ€†(๏ฝฅฯ‰๏ฝฅ*) Because of this, I experienced writing one duh and I can express my feelings in a clear?? and thought of/planned way but I have to be always cautious of what to write and post :T

Anyways, ‘cher, if you’re reading this LMAO WHY DOES THIS SOUND CLICHรฉ but thank you!! You made us create/do blogs and thank you for the experience (โ—ž๊ˆโˆ‡๊ˆ)โ—žโ‹†** โ™ฅ and, you’re a cool teacher (โบฃโ—กโบฃ)โ™ก* A teacher who can be strict at times but also a teacher you can vibe??? with or relate to d(๏ฝฅโˆ€๏ฝฅโ—‹) I feel like this won’t be the last post that I’ll be doing so I won’t say goodbye to this blog (เน‘ยดใ…‚`เน‘) I don’t know either how I’ll end this blog so I’ll leave this gif of the three

Goodnight!~ โ™ฅ Thanks for reading! โ™ฅ

this quote HURTED

This quote, you won’t forget this one because it has been said for like, 3 times (first by Christopher, then Alan, and lastly, by Joan). The quote became a source of inspiration for Alan and Joan. Alan felt like he was only an odd duck, different from the normal. Christopher comforted Alan (during their young years, of course. when Christopher was still alive ) by saying this quote to him. T’was the same reason why Alan said this to Joan. Alan wanted Joan to work alongside with them, decoding messages and such. Joan’s parents didn’t want her to work with men, that’s why Joan felt like this job wasn’t really for her. But thanks to Alan, he made her reconsider (and maybe go against what her parents really wanted?) Lastly, Joan said this to Alan (it backfired quickly, eh?) because he was being a dic HURTFUL AND RUDE!!! (at least for Joan). Joan thought Alan couldn’t possibly break her heart bUT GUESS AGAIN LOL. Literally, she didn’t see that coming, she didn’t imagine Alan as that kind of person.

in conclusion, all of this HURTED man

โ”€โ”€โ”€โ€ป ยทโ†ยท โ€ปโ”€โ”€โ”€

For me, I think the film was made to show how Alan Turing and the cryptography team worked hard every single day just to decode messages sent by the Nazi. The film also shed light to what Alan Turing’s true identity or personality. Also, I think that the film is made to show tribute to what Alan Turing did, considering he contributed a lot, not only winning the war but his invention paved way to the creation of computers! (๏ฝก๏ฝฅ็›Š๏ฝฅ)ใ‚žsalute to u ma boi

STILL HURTED but proud c:

โ”€โ”€โ”€โ€ป ยทโ†ยท โ€ปโ”€โ”€โ”€

The plot of the movie is based on true story, of course, how they decoded the messages and how they won the war but there are some parts in the movie that were historically inaccurate. According to Washington Post, based on Hoodge’s book “Alan Turing’s: The Enigma”, Alan Turing was liked by others in the Bletchley Park and they were “fond of him” (no homo lol) in contrast to the movie, they depicted Alan Turing as someone “narcissist” and portrayed him like he was heartless and selfish. In the movie, Alan Turing made the machine “Christopher” all by himself but in reality, he had help from Gordon Welchman in designing the machine. The machine is also not 100% invented by Alan, the machine was something based off the machine named “The Bombe” invented by the Polish cryptanalysts before Alan started working for the British government. The Bombe used rotors to test different letter combinations, similar to Alan Turing’s machine.

me after reading articles that ALAN WAS ACTUALLY A SOFTIE i am: fooled ๐Ÿคก

For me, foregoing accuracy is not okay. Especially if you’re making a movie that is based on true events and history has been listed down, you might want to go hard in being accurate. People who knows history would probably correct the movie itself or leave unnecessary comments. Plus, being accurate is a good thing because people will know that the film you’re producing or doing is true and based on facts. Both accuracy and artistry can still be practice but it’ll take lot of time and hardwork and effort is needed. L(ยดโ–ฝ๏ฝ€L )

โ”€โ”€โ”€โ€ป ยทโ†ยท โ€ปโ”€โ”€โ”€

People who watched Imitation Game, for me, will learn a lot; realizations and new knowledge. I learned how the British defeated the Germans (duh) and how they did that, of course by producing a machine and analyzing everything that the Germans sent every damn day. They learnt about history and reminisced, and also how homophobic people in the past were . ๊’ฐโ•ฌโ€ขแท…ะดโ€ขแท„โ•ฌ๊’ฑThis movie also somewhat (since he was judged back then because of him being a homosexual) redeemed Alan Turing and made people understand his preference and identity (but of course, there will be still those who oppose of homosexuality. โ‹‹| โ—‰ อŸส– โ—‰ |โ‹Œ) Not only this is his “๐“ป๐“ฎ๐“ญ๐“ฎ๐“ถ๐“น๐“ฝ๐“ฒ๐“ธ๐“ท ๐“ช๐“ป๐“ฌ” but also since the whole thing was confidential, only the government knew what really happened, this movie showed at least a little bit of what really happened during the war, a bit of information for those who didn’t know, perhaps. (since it’s kind of inaccurate lol).

This is post is based only on my opinion about the movie, so if you’d like to share yours, the comment box is always open! (โยดโ–ฝ`โ)โœฒ๏พŸ

Afterlife is something subjective, for me at least, because it depends whether you believe it or not. The pair started by relating it to curiosities, such as, “do you believe in afterlife?”, “If so, what do you think happens in afterlife?”, etc.

The pair, then, said their own opinions about afterlife. They both don’t have a stand, basically, they are in they grey area of the black and white. They both believe in the concept of heaven and hell (after you die) but the word ๏ฝ๏ฝ†๏ฝ”๏ฝ…๏ฝ’๏ฝŒ๏ฝ‰๏ฝ†๏ฝ… just makes you doubt everything, especially if you read about blogs or theories about afterlife. It might sound impossible, but the y really want to know if there’s really an afterlife and what happens in afterlife. what if this, our current time, is already our afterlife :0 =

Topics or questions that clearly doubts my religion interests me, I don’t really know why. This is not really a topic but, this question has lingered enough in my mind, “is God real?”, “Isn’t religion socially constructed?”, stuff like that. my Lord, I’m sorry for having these thoughts LMAO pls forgive me this is blasphemy

The topic, as I said, was very subjective, especially in the beginning, they already asked each other if they believed in afterlife and stated their thoughts about it. They did define or explain what afterlife is. (its common sense tbh so people will definitely get it) But the podcast wasn’t meant to be in a formal way, in my opinion, so it’s okay if it’s not an informative/formal podcast. It’s like having deep casual talks with your friends. (oห˜โ—กห˜o)

The podcast, for sure, is for entertainment purposes. While listening to the podcast, I wanted to butt in and give my own opinion about it but can’t, sadly. (โ—žโ€ธโ—Ÿ๏ผ›) People who are intrigued or have interests in this kind of topic will probably listen to the podcast. โ•ญ( ๏ฝฅใ…‚๏ฝฅ)ูˆ ฬ‘ฬ‘ The podcast had an effective audio design element such as Background Music (BGM) and pauses in between, for transitions. I liked the topic I have been saying this for 19074836400924th time and I liked how nothing held them back in stating their opinion (especially their belief and religion). Although, recording of the lines or the quality of the audio should be done in a quiet and peaceful surrounding. That’s only it. (ยดโ–ฝ`สƒฦช)โ™ก

Perceptions

After watching all the films produced by each section / strand, I realized that all of the plots were about issues that are currently happening in our world. Especially in our modern time, of course, from the name itself, anyone and everyone can have access to technology and such apps; itโ€™s easier to communicate, share knowledge, opinions / comments, etc.

Because of people having vast familiarity on how to use social media apps, as I said, itโ€™s easier for people to let out opinions.

Almost all of the films included bullying, which is still happening. Bullying is already worse, what more if itโ€™s brought on the internet? (well yea lol thereโ€™s something called cYBERBULLYING)

People can easily cyberbully because every post, comment, share is only one click away. The worst part is, even strangers can add fuel to the fire, and act as if they know whatโ€™s the truth. Iโ€™d like to think that flaming, trolling can also be factors why cyberbullying happens.

In the films, social media apps acted as a medium to cyberbully someone. I remember the videos from fidelity that not only they bullied him in real life, they also made fun of him on the internet by posting a picture of him.

Also, In the film โ€œShamingโ€, every persona was also bullied online by commenting foul words on their posts.

For me, bullying is something you can stop (especially if you see someone being bullied, you can stand up to them) but cyberbullying, itโ€™s not that easy. Itโ€™s something that can last for days, weeks, months, or even years. Itโ€™s something thatโ€™s on the internet, itโ€™ll be hard to stop people and correct people.

Some of the issues were doxing, hacking, identity, theft, posing as someone, posting with no consent, etc.

These issues are also prevalent in our time. Obviously, this is something we canโ€™t stop, people nowadays are too nosy lol. (โ•ฌเฒ ็›Šเฒ ) Itโ€™s either they want everyone to know something personal about you (unwanted posting and doxing) or they want to ruin you (hacking, posing, unwanted posting).

Two of the films also portrayed how the society will view you if youโ€™re someone they donโ€™t want you to be, yes, most Filipinos are sensitive and close-minded when it comes to the LGBTQIA+ members / community. Both videos showed how the people around them reacted, they made fun of them, said some offending words/phrases, was sickened, and many more. Even this, is bullying. We should love and respect each other’s preferences and decisions.

While writing this, it made me realize that anyone can hurt you not only in person but also on the internet. They can hurt you countless of times. If you get fed up and decide to end it, theyโ€™ll be sorry and act as if theyโ€™re not the reason why you gave up. I just hope that people (including myself) will become more aware how powerful their words are, especially on the internet, where everything is only a click away. I realized that we should always be careful of what we say and post. Those words will linger not only on the internet, but also to the mind of the person who they told.

Itโ€™ll be both (internet and the person) on there forever.

โœจFavorite Filming Eggsperience โœจ

The short film we produced / made is entitled OBSCURE which means keep from being seen; conceal. It is about a boy who has a secret, not even his family knows what that secret is.

Yes.

He is gay.

No pun intended nor jokes.

Now, in that film, he was invited by his friends to a house party. Unfortunately, his parents didn’t allow him to go. Watching the film may confuse you (sorry for the confusion, for those who watched!) since it was edited and compiled poorly. Anyways, the idea of the film is that what happened in the film (the party, the scandal, the counselling) was all an imagination. He foresaw what could happen if he snuck out and went to the party.

In the end, he chose not to let his temptation get better of him and stayed, and drifted off to sleep.

Okay

so first of all, every scene / part of our short film was fun and memorable for me despite me, at that time, I had a knee sprain โ€งยบยท(หš หƒฬฃฬฃฬฅโŒ“ห‚ฬฃฬฃฬฅ )โ€งยบยทหš

But! if I were to choose what scenes I really liked or my favorite, it’d be

๐ŸŽ‰ THE PARTY SCENE

Yes, I wasn’t in that scene but it was fun watching your classmates try to awkwardly dance and act like there IS a party (แ—’แ—œแ—•)ี›ฬตฬ– T’was also fun watching them try not to laugh at their own self (sorry but I know not only me even you, yourselves felt ashamed, shy, and sorry for you guys LOL)

exhibit A: People dancing at the said “House Party”

THE ๐Ÿ”ž SCENE

exhibit B: a wild chick is caught photobombing the said “scandal”

THIS scene was no doubt the funniest. IT WAS HARD TO VIDEO AND AT THE SAME TIME NOT LAUGH and fangirl over the two BL lol. It was also the most hardest part to film since (even though not included) we had to consider other angles in filming the “scandal”; to make it more interesting and thrilling for the viewers. Also, this scene is VERY controversial to film, especially coming from a *cough* catholic *cough* school.

Also, both scenes were the peak / climax of our film, so it had to be in between funny and serious. There were few takes that didn’t make it because we would just suddenly laugh (we couldn’t take it seriously) It was hard for us, the cameraman / people behind the camera (aka those who aren’t in that scene) because we saw the whole thing

EVERYTHING.

EVERY

DAM

THING.

From the serious scenes to failed-blooper ones. Nonetheless, it was a fun experience (filming) and I learned how to edit a video / film for the first time! I think it turned out pretty well and I can still learn more if I continue making videos. โœงูฉ(โ€ขฬโŒ„โ€ขฬเน‘)ูˆ โœง
